Stop Taking All The Risks! Ten Steps to Make Good Decisions in a Bad Situation

A Risk Assessment Process for Wives and Partners of Sex Addicts + BONUS! Tools for Communicating Your Decision to Others

59$

Stop Taking All the Risks! presents a rational process you can use to work effectively with all aspects of what is an overwhelming experience, and stay true to your core values in your decisions. I developed this four-video resource (+print materials) after becoming frustrated that wives and partners of the men called sex addicts were being urged to assume all or most of the risks in that relationship--even in recovery. These women were at a vulnerable time—often desperate in their search for any reason to believe he could change and that they could help make that happen. What they really needed was a step-by-step process to help them consider all the risks and consequences associated with each decision. It’s not about believing that wives and partners of the men called sex addicts should never take a risk. It’s about those women being aware of all the risks, and making an informed decision about the ones they choose to absorb, or not absorb.

By adapting a basic risk assessment process, I present ten steps in decision-making, introduce six categories of risks and consequences, and include room for mitigating or eliminating them. The process empowers users to articulate the core values inherent in each risk, and to consider how likely the risk is to be realized. There are lots of examples included, as well as templates to download as simplify to process. As a BONUS there's a communication tool for helping you to share your decisions as needed, and lots of scenario examples to help you deal with how others may receive your decisions.
